DMCA Notice & Takedown Policy
Meet The GIMP respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of the site to do the same. We respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).
Filing a DMCA Complaint
If you believe that content on meetthegimp.org infringes your copyright, please send a written notification containing:
- A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
- The specific URL(s) on our site where the alleged infringing content is located
- Your full legal name, mailing address, phone number, and email address
- A statement that you have a good faith belief the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notification is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner
- Your physical or electronic signature
Where to Send Notices
DMCA notices should be directed to [email protected] with the subject line “DMCA Takedown Request.”
Counter-Notification
If you believe your content was removed in error, you may file a counter-notification with the same contact address. Include a description of the removed material, its location prior to removal, a statement under penalty of perjury that the removal was a mistake, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district.
Repeat Infringers
In appropriate circumstances, we will disable and terminate the accounts of users who are repeat infringers.
