Perhaps Peter Hovorka should have called it a day earlier and closed his shop in a more controlled way. He tried to do that but his illness was faster than his plans. It had to be drawn out of this state by human intervention - and that is expensive. The machines had given me a chance after 30 days of "purgatory" to re-register the domain for the usual small fee. But this was too long a wait for me - and I didn't want to risk a grabber getting it. The fault is with my former hoster and I could try to get my money back from them. Plus the rest of the server fees I had paid in advance. And the domain fees. 200€ over a broad thumb. But I think it would be fruitless - and a bit like kicking a fallen man.
