Joel has again covered something that I was looking for and was too lazy to research. How to make a slideshow out of your images that can be played on any DVD player. With menus and all the fine stuff.

It’s a nice combination of programs and scripts
It’s grate for the standard slideshows…
I tried many options and editing the slideshow-file by hand or by another program called slcreator….
slcreator is great for the kenburns effects….
you get frames for the start and end of the effect…
I like both, the wipes and crossfades…
but crossfade is a standard effect…. it works…
with wipes and wide kenbus effects youl’ll get in trouble…
dvd-slideshow says at this position: something like:
#composite: invalid argument for option `+-3131+0′: -geometry.
composite: invalid argument for option `+-3654+0′: -geometry.
I think this is a response to spanning or zooming out of the image and then wiping to an other….
It’s very interesting, that spanning or zooming out works with the crossfade transmission…
At all it’s a very cool project…
And the vobs are very cool….
The right thing for a DVD photo presentation…

oh, I forget:
I used dvd-slideshow 0.7.5 and 0.8.0-pre10
and in some tests slcreator 0.7.1 which works only for dvd-slideshow 0.7.5
there are some incompatible syntax changes in 0.8.0-pre10….
