Thanks for the links! I had ideas in that direction, but this is a good starting point.

All your links went through because you didn't mention pharmaceutics to enhance certain body parts. These words are blocked. I use Akismet for spam protection - and it works wunderbar! It catches at least 50 spams a day and let slip one through once every week or so. I never check the spam for false positives - if the comment was important the author will try again. ;-)

Haven't watched yet, will do so on the train in to work...

Thought in the mean time I would swing this line art tutorial your way. Since GIMP's brushes aren't quite as easily customised as Photoshop's, I found it easier to do the lines in Inkscape. Then there's a follow-up tutorial on pop art, which ads the Lichtenstein style. Could be done in GIMP using the newsprint filter.

I'm going to get held up in moderation for those links aren't I ;)

Great show, Rolf. I really liked this one: a detailed show on the steps to take to achieve a desired result. As you said, a real playground here. Now up to the 100!

@heathenx; Nice picture, well done.
@Rolf; Nice show and a absolute food for thougth episode again.

The 50th episode was a very special edition to me. For the first time in my live I watched it in a linux surrounding. I installed Ubuntu like any other new software.Installing it and deinstalling it without loosing windows worked! Great. Someday I will forget to use Windows
The next step in my odyssee will be working with Gimp 2.5.1!

My compliments @linux @ Gimp developers and their tutors like Rolf.
Keep going on. I'm a thankfull watcher an user.

Ah! I'm looking forward to watching this one. I'm not sure exactly where you're going with this since I haven't watched it yet but I used Gimp to do something similar a few years ago. I rasterized a picture of my daughter when she woke up one morning with the craziest bed head that I had ever seen. She was about 3 years old at the time. :) I tried to make it look like a pencil sketch when I was done.
