After a lot of work in the last two weeks I went a bit under the weather this (for me long) weekend. I think I’ll be fit again when school starts. Sometimes I think it would be smarter to move the schedule of the down time from free time to school time….
But there are two nice places to check out for you in the time until the next show.
GIMPtricks on Youtube are made by Jolie from the Netherlands. I recommend to get a close shave with the healing tool and then check out the rest.
And if you have caught yourself wanting to print a logo on a plain T-Shirt after you made an image from it - here is the solution in Spanish and English made by a young woman in Venezuela. There are 5 more videos to watch. (Thanks to medyr for the tip.)
So, drown them in Clicks!

The GIMPTricks series are great, I find the way Jolie explain things pretty interesting. The shows being short allow her to explain less things than the usual MTG show, but OTOH there is a lot of info condensed into a few minutes of video.
As for Tatica, I have only watched 1 webcast, but they seem interesting too.
If anything, they provide a nice complement to MTG, it is good for the users of the GIMP to have such a nice amount of learning resources.
While there have always been plenty of tutorials in the internet, I find the video-based ones easier to follow and more suitable for me to learn. After all, I didn’t start to use the GIMP on a regular basis till I discovered MTG
Cheers
Great links all really interesting and all offer a new skill set I would not of known before so if the creators ever browse through here thank you all for the time to help us learn.
I keep trawling the net for Gimp resources but this will always have a special place in my heart
Anyway, thanks for the competition tips.
Take care of yourself and I hope to see you back to your normal, creative and healthy self.
Cheers from Madrid!
Thank you so much for linking to my video. It is quite a compliment and I feel honoured. I wondered where the extra views where coming from. Thanks to everyone who watched as well.
