2.4 is out!

Here!

Windows binaries here! We Linux guys have to wait or to compile…. ;-)

And they stole my colour concept! ;-) Just kidding – I love black and orange.

What does you mean under the “stole colour concept”?

Since a while I use a black background and a orange cirlcle as the logo – it will show up on the title on the blog soon too. And now the gimp.org is black with orange.

By no way I want to leave the impression that the designer got the idea from me – most likely he/they have never heard about my project. But it is a nice coincidence.

I’ll edit my post to get the meaning clear.

Looks like it’s popular – having trouble getting on to the website …

I have the rc3 release so I will stick with that as I find it is very stable (no crashes) unless ubuntu gutsy provides the upgrade path through the repositories.

    Thanks Regards Pete

PS Also thanks Rolf for your podcasts, the websites + the photo site. Very much appreciated.

I’ll do the same – wait for upstream to get all the stuff fixed.

Yeehaw … together with the website re-design they appear to have fixed the Mac download page – you can download an ‘app’ version of 2.4! Only RC3 at the moment, but that’s still good news … and although it doesn’t mention it, a plugin version of UFRaw is included in the package!

I just tried to compile Gimp 2.4 under Gutsy Gibbon. The binary failed to execute properly, so I am back to RC-3.

I’ll simply wait until it arrives in my update offers. Can only be days I hope.
